Hi, I'm Margarita Shamrakov—a New York–based pianist, vocalist, songwriter, composer, producer, and music educator with more than 15 years of teaching experience.

I don't believe music education should be limited to learning notes and playing songs. I teach musicianship.

My lessons combine piano, voice, music theory, ear training, harmony, composition, songwriting, improvisation, music history, and musical interpretation to help students develop a deep and lasting understanding of music.

Whether a student is just beginning or already has years of experience, I encourage them to ask questions, explore ideas, create their own music, and understand why music works—not simply reproduce what is written on the page.
