Music is a language of God or the Universe or Life itself.
Music is a language of God or the Universe or Life itself. I am not trying to be religious, or to tell anyone to believe in anything, maybe except music.
Music is the balm for the soul, it heals us.
In the time of Johann Sebastian Bach, music was regarded as essential in every school. It was more than just an extracurricular activity; it was a sacred practice. Music was seen as the language of God, and it was believed that through it, one could come closest to the divine. Children began and ended their school days with music, dedicating at least two hours each day to its study. The act of making music was integral to shaping both mind and spirit.
When I was little I did not understand it. I thought music was just a feeling, but as I am getting older sometimes the only way to describe life or love or the world is through music. Words fail me.
Learning music is a spiritual experience. When you have no one you can really talk to, and you feel alone in your being, when you feel stripped down of your power, when you feel unloved and misunderstood and when you forget your name. Then, in that moment, only music can directly flow from your wounds and speak for you.
I encourage every person to listen to music every day.
Let’s start together.
